Project Overview
The Lieb Road Transmission Upgrade Project involves rebuilding a section of the existing 230kV transmission line in northern Baltimore County and installing an additional 500kV transmission line to maintain the stability of the transmission grid. This project will span 1.6 miles starting at the Maryland-Pennsylvania line, heading south, entirely located on existing BGE right-of-way. PJM has directed BGE to complete this project by June 2027.
