Project Timeline

Project Overview

This project consists of upgrading 2.2 miles of single-circuit transmission line in an existing BGE right-of-way starting at the Graceton Substation in Harford County, Maryland, and running north across the Pennsylvania state line. The first step of this project will be the demolition and removal of an existing 230kV circuit that runs from the Graceton Substation to the Cooper Substation in Pennsylvania. A 500kV circuit will then be built to replace the 230kV circuit, in order to increase import capacity.
