GRANITE SUBSTATION UPGRADES
Project Overview
BGE will be performing upgrades to the existing Granite Substation and installing a 350 MVAR STATCOM, just east of Granite in Southwest Baltimore County. The project includes a new 230kV expansion of the substation, which will result in a new expanded substation footprint. All work will take place on BGE-owned property. Some grading work will be required inside and outside the existing substation fence, and new fence will be installed.
